Dahl-Chase Diagnostic Services serves as a separate company and the technical arm of Dahl-Chase Pathology Associates and is a state-of-the-art pathology laboratory. It was incorporated in 1998 and is accredited by the College of American Pathologists with CLIA certification. It provides professional excellence in tissue examination, histology, cytology, flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics to its clients in Maine and beyond with outstanding, dedicated customer support. With 67 employees, Dahl-Chase Diagnostic Services has expertly processed large numbers of specimens each year, currently exceeding 50,000 surgical specimens, 75,000 cytology specimens and 10,000 flow cytometry, molecular, bone marrow and clinical pathology specimens and cases.

Emphasis has been placed on providing professional and technical support for other pathology practices within the State of Maine and beyond by offering tissue examination and processing, an extensive menu of routine, special and immunoperoxidase stains for histology and cytology specimens, and flow cytometric analysis and molecular diagnostics with professional interpretation and consultation. The expressed goal of Dahl-Chase Diagnostic Services is to provide reliable, accurate results and timely service at a reasonable cost to its clients. Recent test additions have included fluorescence in situ hybridation probes for the detection of HER-2 neu over-expression in breast cancer and for the detection of recurrent bladder cancer in urine.
